KAIO YOUTH
Luke 24:32: They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
KAIO (ky-o) is a greek word that means to burn, to set on fire. It is our desire for the youth of our city to be "set on fire" for the Lord!
Young people, you are created by Jesus Christ and He loves you very much. So much in fact that He sacrificed His life for you on a cross so you can have life. These are the fundamental truths that we explore together within KAIO youth; which is more of a family than a youth group! Exploring the Scriptures and searching together the meanings of life are a regular thing for us, and we also have a lot of fun doing it!
We meet together as Junior High or Senior High. Some of the awesome events that we have been a part of are Y.C. Alberta, Youth Quake, and Joe's Place events and concerts including PHILLY 5 and MANAFEST! We have a lot of fun around Moose Jaw as well. Whether it is disco bowling at South Hill Bowling Alley, attending a youth's school play, going for coffee at Coffee Encounters, sledding on the local hills, or watching a blu-ray in The Bass-Ment (our youth room), there is always something to do! You should come and hang out with us and you will see that being a part of our family is a good thing.

WHAT WE OFFER:
JUNIOR HIGH meets Wednesday Nights @ The BassMent. We gather at 7:00pm to play outrageous games that get everyone involved. After that we go deep into the Bible to discover and discuss what it teaches us, and also to see how to apply it. We then hang out and watch YouTube, play the Wii or Kinect, have more conversations, play a board game, enjoy candy from the tuck shop, or just chill. This is for grades 6 to 8. Kicks off Sept. 7th.
SENIOR HIGH meet every other Thursday night for Bible study. We go deep into the Bible, and learn what it means to be young men and women who follow Jesus in today's culture. Join us as we study God's Word and build unity through fellowship. This is for grades 9 to 12 and starts Sept. 8th.
FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS! On Fridays we meet at a designated location and do all sorts of fun and crazy things. These events usually start at 7:30pm. Kick off is on Friday Sept. 16th.
AFTER SCHOOL BRAIN DRAIN: Every other Thursday we open up "The BassMent" (our youth room) to anyone in grades 9-12 from 3:30 to 5:30pm. You can come and do homework, get free academic help from a tutor, research online, read a book, or just sit and chat with a coffee. This starts on September 15th.
SEARCH FOR SURRENDER: Once a month we host a youth worship service. Our band is entirely made up of youth, and together we worship God and share what He is doing in our lives!
